Color/Black and White

I'm not a fan of desaturated backgrounds with colored subjects, I never really have been...so as I was editing this evening, my husband walked by and said, "hey I bet that picture would look great with the background desaturated..." Trying to prove him wrong, I quickly ran a desaturation brush over the background..but you know, I kind of liked it. So here it is...what do you think?

Last night we did the photography and video of Jim and Shannon Krier at the Oak Hill Mansion (Carmel, IN) they were such an awesome, fun couple to work with and their wedding was beauitful (even in the rain!) Here is a little taste of some of the photos, I have so many to go through and edit, once done, I will set up a chronicle order of events in a new post...

Baker-Stiles Wedding

We had the opportunity to travel to NY to do the wedding video of a dear friend of ours, Jim Baker, who was really my mentor when it comes to photography. Bryant Wedding

An older wedding, I actually uploaded these because I am trying to get some other photos up from my previous shoot, but it's not uploading properly. This was a test blog, I do like these pictures however, they were a wedding I did at the Brown County State Park about a year ago.

Playing

I know that Ligthroom cannot create a true HDR image, but I found a video online on how to create an effect that is very similar...here is one I played with...

Which came first, the chicken or the egg...

Obvious not a picture of a chicken, but a cool one (at least I think so). this is on the bridge over the Ohio River from KY to IN.
